So, there are two John Critchleys, one a file cutter and the other a clay potter. Ann Critchley is the daughter of John Critchleu and his wife Margaret (Molyneux).

• His son James Critchley was born on 15 August 1808 in Prescot, England.
• Occupation: In 1811 John Critchley was a File Cutter. according to the BTs for daughter Ann's christening (her mother is "Marg't"). Do not confuse this John Critchley with another John Critchley a clay potter who married Martha Marsh.
• His daughter Ann Critchley was born on 14 November 1811 in Prescot, Lancashire, England.
• His father John Critchley died in 1829.
