  • BurialAsDeath: He; 19 January 1819; Marton, Warwickshire3
  • Residence: He resided Age at burial given as 86 I still think that this Richard Snelson could be the son of James & Mary Snelson of Barford St. Michael, Oxfordshire based on the dates being somewhat OK and the name James being a common thread through the family. Remember that this is before the Industrial Revolution and at the time both Banbury and Warwick would have been important towns joined by a main road. This will probably never be proved as there are no Warwick Apprentices records or anything else to confirm. I made a visit to the Public Records Office, Kew, London in 1999 and no useful records seem to exist to prove where Richard may have been from.
